Scope and Content:
Letter from Dick in New Haven to Blanche. He writes that he just recived her letter and he wanted to respond right away. He apologizes for the paper but he is too lazy to look for another kind. They discuss the possibility of demobilization in the next few weeks and they cannot wait to be home. They mention that fighting has been occuring with the Yale boys and since the Major is a Yale man things have not been easy. Mentions the chow call just went so will be back later. Then continues the letter stating he is back and does not have a thought in his little head. At the end of this section of the letter they write about wanting to get together with Blanche when they are having a chat for old times sake. HE concludes that he does not have much else to say and to please write him when she can and that he appreciates the effort and she does not know how much. He also mentions ink is faded and he hopes she can read it all right and that his pen must be low in ink. He signs "As ever your friend Dick" and then proceeds to give regards to all and asks about pictures. There is no date, however based off of the content of the letter it was probably written in November or December 1918.
