Letter from Hermon to Blanche. He writes he is glad she will have a chanceto teach but he would not teach even if he was paid a hundred dollars a week. He also writes he has not been in touch because he did not know when she will be back from the mountains and did not know where to mail letters. He continues the letter on Saturday and writes that he was feeling poor and slept in until noon that day and then went for a walk to White River. He also mentions another freshmen has dies and they are practically quarantined with no church, theatre and no Dartmouth night and that the induction into the army has been delayed 10 days. He mentions he has initiation for the fraternity that evening. He continues his letter on Sunday describing how the initiation went. He then mentions another soldier has died as well as a professor and the college may suspend activities for a few days. He asks he how she likes his paper combination. He concludes that he cannot think of anything else and she owes him letters now. Letter is undated but is probably from 1918 based on the content.
