- Partial letter from Alice Stone in North Edgecomb, ME, to her husband, Robert "Bobby" Stone, dated August 25, 1920. In the letter, Alice replies directly to the letter she was happy to receive from him. She notes it is surprising how different the weather is from his, being mostly very nice with only one day of rain. Alice goes on to talk about her time painting and how she was interrupted by a car full of young men, which disgusted her as she didn't want to be seen. She goes on to say that Richard walked a mile and a half to see her, something she did not expect him to do, so she was quite surprised when he arrived. She spends the rest of the letter discussing the Greenleaf boys. The last pages of this letter are missing.
