Scope and Content:
Letter from Alice Stone in East Orange, NJ, to her husband, Robert "Bobby" Stone, dated January 24, 1921. In the letter, Alice updates her husband on her stay in East Orange, noting that she doesn't feel lonely without him and the children because her routine is so different taking care of Mary that she has no time to think about it. It isn’t until she is alone in her room that she is homesick. She notes Dr. V. feels that Mary will be better in three weeks, though the nurse thinks it will take six. Alice discusses caring for the baby, who is smaller than any she has cared for before. She spends the rest of the letter detailing her plans to cash a check so she can visit New York.
