- Letter from Alice Stone in North Edgecomb, ME, to her husband, Robert "Bobby" Stone, dated August 27, 1920. In the letter, Alice responds to her husband's letter by giving him information on the color of the beans when they are ripe. She then spends most of the letter detailing her painting trip, telling of how she was driven to her spot by the Greenleaf boys and then painted all day. She notes that when she went to get a ride home from them, they were unable to help so she had to travel with the guard (army) truck. Alice then provides updates on the children, who were covered in paint when she got home and that Richard was stung by a yellowjacket. She ends the letter by detailing a visit from Lucy and Frank, and their discussion of George Fred Williams.
