Scope and Content:

Guestbook for Innisfeld, a farm and guest house in Holderness, NH, with entries from 1881 to 1912. The title page states "Summer-book of Innisfeld. Mrs. R. B. Piper" and features drawings of the front and back of the house. Operated by Nancy (Innis) Piper and her husband, R. Bruce Piper, the guestbook contains signatures of visitors, most with the date and their hometown, comments, as well as poems, artwork (paintings and drawings), and newspaper clippings detailing activities at Innisfeld, such as games, picnics, hay-rides, music, and theater performances. Some of the drawings are signed, including from T. R. Beal [Thaddeus Reynolds Beal] and F. N. Thallon. Guests range from New England, to New York, and as far away as Spain and Chile.
