Dame goes on to talk of her morning work cooking biscuits and of cats. She notes she had to give away all her cats at Camp Union and has not found any worth feeding here. She continues the letter on Monday morning, going on to describe several recent deaths and funerals. Dame ends the letter by discussing Mr. Savery, who recently stayed with Captain Sturtevant.
