Scope and Content:
Letter from Frank Dwinell to his cousin, likely Almira Grimes. Letter written from Boston, MA, July 3, 1858. The letter is chiefly concerned with religion: Frank has not yet 'become a Christian' and this worries his cousin, who fears for his eternal damnation. Frank says he tries to honor his duty, though he knows he falls far short, but he cannot believe that her God is more forgiving than man if He sentences his enemies to eternal damnation. They disagree on a Greek translation. He is sorry they must continue to disagree. He anticipates a future visit.
