New Hampshire Supreme Court case file #4542 Gertrude S. Levlock, Administratrix with the will annexed of the estate of Bertina E. Farwell, v. Aristides V. Spanos, Administrator with the will annexed of the estate of Harry L. Farwell, 1956-1957. The documents in this file include the defendant's brief by Faulkner, Plaut & Hanna for the September Term, 1956 and the plaintiff's brief by Shulins & Duncan and McLane, Carleton, Graf, Greene & Brown for the 1957 session. Both of these documents include notes, presumably by Frank R. Kenison, and state the case is a wrongful death suit from the Administratrix of a wife against the Administrator of her husband, both of whom died as result of injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Springfield, VT. Also included is a letter from Stanley M. Brown in Manchester, NH, to George O. Shovan in Concord, NH, dated February 6, 1957, requesting a correction of his plaintiff's brief as he misquoted Brown v. Perry; two memos from Frank R. Kenison on April 24, 1957 and Laurence Ilsley Duncan on April 25, 1957, providing their opinions on the case; a draft of the case judgment; a letter from Kenison in Concord, NH, to Charles Adams in Waterbury, VT, dated May 3, 1957, requesting his review of the enclosed opinion regarding Vermont law; the response from Adams to Kenison dated May 10, 1957; a letter from Kenison to the West Publishing Company in Saint Paul, MN, dated June 6, 1957, inquiring about a key number in the last paragraph of the Levlock v. Spanos publication; and a response from Wayne Davies of the West Publishing Company dated June 18, 1957, noting an addition number has been added. A July 1957 publication of Recent Decisions is also included in this folder.
