- Letter from Alvin Russell Davis to Eva May Norcross and the Norcross family, dated January 21, 1918. The letter is addressed from 'some where in France'. Alvin apologizes for not responding to the letters of various Norcross family members, but is grateful for their writing to him every week, as he likes to get the news from home. It is feeling like Spring in France after what the locals tell him was an unusually harsh winter. He misses home and says he will not be leaving the United States again once he returns.
