- Letter from John Wentworth in Chicago, IL, to Ephraim N. Hidden, dated September 11, 1880. In the letter, Wentworth states that Davis owns the land and that it appears the transaction was for the benefit of Davis. He goes on to state the Church excuses Davis and states the whole issue is "unsuccessful speculation." Wentworth inquies about other lots as he will check to see if taxes have been paid.
