Scope and Content:

The Livermore, NH, photograph albums consist of four photograph albums, possibly from the Donahue family of Livermore. The albums primarily consist of photographs of Livermore, NH, and the surrounding area of the White Mountains between 1908 and 1922. Includes images of local houses, businesses, the town, mountains, mills, ice cutting, logging, railroads, and identified and unidentified townspeople. While the bulk of the images are of New Hampshire, two of the albums also include travel photos to coastal Maine and Massachusetts and to the western United States including California, Colorado, and Utah. Most of the albums include images of Donahue family members, of other children and adults, and a few images of their pets. The bulk of New Hampshire mountains in these photographs are identified. Livermore, a logging town in Grafton County, NH, is now a ghost town with the last residents leaving in 1949.
