- Letter from Osgood Paige in Candia, NH, to his son Charles C. Paige, dated August 30 and September 9, 1863. In the letter, Osgood responds to the updates Paige has sent from Milldale, MS, and from Cincinnati. He goes on to update Charles on town happenings and tells him he has been praying for him. Osgood details illness in town, who has been drafted, and the status of his crops. He notes a parcel of land may be for sale soon and that Charles should send money so they can purchase it.
