Scope and Content:

The Nellie Parker Papers consist primarily of ephemera (invitations, programs, menus, tickets, etc.) for various political functions, as well as photocopies of newspaper clippings, correspondence, and photographs from 1918 to 1951. Documents include programs to the inauguration of Herbert Hoover; menus from various luncheons and dinners for the Women's National Republican Club and New Hampshire Republican Women; documents from the 1932 Republican National Convention in Chicago, IL, and the 1936 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, OH; and photocopies of newspaper clippings related to Nellie Parker, including her 1951 obituary. Her correspondence includes letters from former-President Calvin Coolidge and newly-elected President Herbert Hoover. The photographs in this collection consist primarily of Parker with other New Hampshire delegates, as well as photographs of several United States Presidents' wives.
