Receipt from the Hartford Fire Insurance Office in Hartford, CT, dated November 18, 1857. The receipt is for the payment of the $50 premium on their insurance coverage for the year and is signed by President H. Huntington and Secretary C. B. Bowers. Attached is a bill to the Treasurer of Proprietors of Eagle Hotel, requesting he pay E. Jackson $50 as reimbursement for the insurance payment. The bill is dated December 1, 1857, and is signed by Benjamin Grover and Nathaniel White.
