- Tax receipt dated June 30, 1857, for the year 1857 from the City of Concord, NH, to the Eagle Hotel. The receipt is signed by B. F. Gale for the reduced payment of $174.80. On the back is the ordinance passed on April 4, 1857, which states if the bill is paid before the first of July, the bill will be reduced by 5 percent.
