- Letter from J. L. Edwards of the Pension Office in the War Department to John Wingate Weeks at the House of Representative in Washington, DC. Dated January 12, 1831, Edwards states the papers in regards to Alpheus Hutchins' claim were examined and found to be insufficient evidence. He notes a detailed statement from Weeks will be necessary in regards to the origin of the disability and extent of the injury in order to establish his claim.
