- Handwritten copy of a letter from George Wright at the Headquarters of the 3rd Infantry at the Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, MO, dated August 2, 1831. In the letter, Wright discusses the promotion of Major Bliss to the 1st Regiment and Col. Leavenworth expresses his appreciation at the conduct of the officer for the past twenty years.
