- Letter from Obed Hall in Washington, DC, to John Wingate Weeks in Lancaster, NH, dated April 30, 1812. In the letter, Hall thanks Weeks for the polite acknowledgements he sent as well as for his intentions to honor his country. Hall goes on to tell Weeks that he will be contacted by his superior in due time and that they are fast approaching the state of war.
