Scope and Content:
"Under the Influence: Alcohol, Drugs, Crime, and Treatment in New Hampshire" is an updated and revised version of the report previously published by the center in July on 2002. It states that the majority of incarcerated individuals in New Hampshire do not receive adequate treatment for drug and alcohol related problems. The report also addresses problems with sufficient data for their analysis, calls for more research into best practices for policy makers, and assesses the growth of corrections programs across the state. This "discussion draft" was published in October of 2002.
