- Contract between Mary Whipple of Kittery, ME, and Stephen Roberts of Dover, NH, dated March 15, 1779. In the contract, Whipple agrees to lease a portion of her land, including a dwelling house and two barns, currently occupied by Noah Rawlings (Rollins) to Roberts for the term of one year. In return, he must pay her one half of his produce and maintain the portion of the farm he is renting. The document is signed by Mary Whipple, Stephen Roberts, A. Hill, and J. Whipple.
