- Series three contains the Whipple Family Papers, dated from 1760 to 1820, and includes the deeds, business correspondence, bills and receipts, indentures, and lists of expenses of Joseph and William Whipple. There is also a letter to Joseph from North Carolina about a British prize vessel (this was added to the collection in 1972 and given accession number, 1972.052), as well as the settlement of William Whipple's estate.
