- Photographic print of the H. H. Bridge group sitting and eating in a field by their bicycles on September 8, 1889. The caption states, "H. H. Bridge Group. Picture made September 8, 1889. The high wheel held sway until 1890, but, owing to the dangers of riding, was superseded by the popular Safety. In this picture are the old high wheels and the new safety, which came into use in 1890, known as a Columbia light roadster safty [safety]. It had solid tires and cost $135. The pneumatic tire had its birth two or three year[s] later."
