Photographic print of the entrance gates to the West Concord Cemetery in Concord, NH. These Iron Gates were erected May 1933 -- Gift of Andrew J. Abbott, in memory of his ancestors. Work has been compleated at the Maple Grove cemetery, West Concord, when a pair of wrought-iron gates and two bronze tablets on the gate-posts were set in place as a gift of Andrew J. Abbott to the city, in memory of his ancestors. The iron gates of graceful and artistic design, weighing nearly 700 pounds were made by the Stewart Iron Works of Cincinnati, Ohio. They harmonize with the handsome iron fence built by the city two years ago. The bronze tablet on the west post contains these inscriptions: 'In memory of five generations of Abbotts who have lived on the original right, Andrew James Abbott gives these gates, 1933.
