In the latter years of her life she drew a pension from the government, by virtue of the husband's office as chaplain, and lived retired and cheerful, in elegant simplicity, highly esteemed by all who knew her. She died October 19, 1846, aged 84 years. After Mrs. Evans death in 1846 the house came into the possession of her brother Col. William Kent - In 1850 Mr. Kent was secretary of the N. H.
