Note from Sarah Hammond Grimes Smith to her family. Likely written from DeKalb, IL, undated. Sarah writes to recommend medicine for her niece's deafness and that she misses the children. The Dr. says perhaps she should have a child, if she loves them so much, which she finds humorous. She is 'well and hearty as a pig'.
