Letter from Mary Grimes to her family in Keene. Letter written from Troy, NH, August 28, 1858. Mary is visiting John and Louisa and does not expect Louisa to survive the week, though she hopes word of that does not get back to Louisa, who is terribly attached to her. Mary wishes to be home, but Louisa will not let her out of her sight. Mary asks after the family and hopes their health is well. Mary herself has not been terribly well and has taken alcohol for her stomach. They attended a good Sabbath meeting.
