- Letter from Elisha M. Kempton in Folly Island, SC, to his sister dated July 20, 1863. Kempton goes into detail explaining how he sustained his latest injury. He describes the medical care he is being given as well as how he arrived at the Port Hospital. Kempton goes on to give injury updates on several men, including Melville Howard. He also thanks his sister for her recent letters.
