- Letter from Augustus Ayling, Adjutant General in Concord, NH, to Bion I. Brown, Captain of Company D of the 1st Regiment in the New Hampshire National Guard in Dover, NH, dated May 29, 1889. In the letter, Ayling lists several discrepencies between the supplies he issued to Brown and what was received. He also encloses Brown's discharge papers, but notes the discharge does not relieve him or his men from accounting for the missing property.
