- Warrant for a meeting of the Amherst Congregational Church and Society issued on December 14, 1839 by Edward D. Boylston. The meeting was called for January 6, 1840. The meeting was called to discuss six subjects: to choose a moderator of the meeting, to hear the report of the treasurers and auditors, to raise money to pay Reverend Frederick Adams, to elect church officers, to discuss the building committee, and to transact all other business.
