The George Perry Research Papers, 1940-1970, contain around 25,000 index cards organized in 23 boxes. The scope of the collection encompasses information on Concord, NH, and surrounding areas, such as Hopkinton and Penacook. Information recorded spans from the mid-1700s through the 1960s, as this collection was maintained by George A. Stohrer, friend of Perry, after his death. Perry compiled information on people who lived in Concord, as well as notable people who visited the city. He cataloged information about buildings and their occupants by their name or street number. A number of subjects are also covered, such as fires, local businesses, police stations, military regiments, cemeteries, churches, schools, and more. The index cards serve as a card catalog of events, people, and places in Concord from its founding through 1970. Many of the cards contain references to other publications, notably The Granite Monthly.
