- Scope and Content:
- Letter from Frederic Adams to his son, John, dated December 10, 1916. In the letter, Adams reflects on the advice and good example set by his mother and father. He states he has done much of the same with his children and passes along his thoughts on what he calls "The Social Act." Adams states Mrs. Warner gave him "a valuable hint" when she spoke of a friend who was unhappy and discontent. She stated one needed to "cultivate agreeability." The letter is unsigned and a note at the end written in pencil states it was found among Frederic Adams' papers, and was most likely a draft of the final letter.
