- Letter from Daniel Webster in Washington, DC, to "Dear Sir" [Thomas W. Thompson], dated January 31, 1814. In the letter, Webster notes he has enclosed one of his speeches, of which he has included several corrections. He goes on to discuss politics, noting the debates in Congress have been very interesting and Canada, should be able to get an army. He ends the letter inquiring about public opinion.
