- The Charles H. Atherton receipts contains a list of items purchased by Atherton beginning in December 1807. Moody Cummings received payment for the items in April 1808. Charles Humphrey Atherton (1773-1853) served as United States Representative from New Hampshire from 1815 to 1817. He worked as a lawyer and banker in addition to also serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1823 to 1839.
