- Three letter from Timothy Bedel in Haverhill, NH, to Marquis de Lafayette, Thomas Chittenden, and General Horatio Gates, dated May 14, 1778. In the letters, Bedel notes his men, including a number of Native Americans, are available at short notice to assist as soon as they receive orders. He goes on to mention plans for building a fort and garrison.
