- Daybook of Samuel Lane dated 1739 to 1740. The daybook is bound in an unidentified newspaper and includes an unbound page titled "To Take at the Shoals." The daybook includes debts and credits of all his trading and dealing with people. Lane organized the daybook alphabetically. In most cases, he also listed the service provided by the person to whom he owed money or the reason a person might owe him money.
