- Letter from Jean Burgess Ayre in Wallingford, CT, to Mrs. Lombard, dated July 11, 1939. In the letter, Ayre notes they had to give Chico, their Chinook dog, up to a Mr. Ed Cluett because they could not educate their neighbors, as they were scared of him. She notes they are on school property, so they could not have any neighbors with hard feelings.
