- Letter is from Myron to Blanche Nutting. He tells her that the seas continue to be rough. He then tells her that he took the Ensign exam and passed with a 74.62% which is considered pretty good, however an old football eye injury that caused optic nerve damage may prevent him from commission unless he gets a waiver from Washington, D.C. He is hoping to visit in two to three weeks and agrees to plans at dinner at the Touraine Hotel and a show at the Wilbur Theatre. He mentions understanding that Blanche would not want to be a business woman and that the navy kits she is making for sailors to have warm clothing while they are at sea is appreciated. He concludes that he is heading out again tomorrow and once the war is over he never wants to see the ocean again. Letter and envelope is dated 1918 September 30.
