- Letter from Muriel Smith to her daughter Shirley Jane Smith in Rochester, NH, dated January 20, 1948. In the letter, Muriel discusses her shock at hearing of Celias death and notes many of their neighbors have died in the past five years. She goes on to tell of her travels to the Garmish GI rest center on her three day pass and that she likes her office much better at her new post than in Wiesbaden.
