The Secrets of the Mount Washington Hotel is a 40 minute video cassette tape published by the New Hampshire Public Television in 2000. Host Fritz Wetherbee and Mount Washington Guide Fred Hollis show viewers things that are supposed to be secret. Places that are usually off-limits to guests - like the towers where the singing waiters and waitresses lived, the catwalks, and the Italian villa. Find out why the boiler room is significant and learn about the princess whose spirit still roams the halls. The hotel has been host to presidents, royalty, and scores of celebrities, including Babe Ruth and Winston Churchill. You will see the golf lockers. It was the site of the Bretton Woods Monetary Conference in 1944, an event that established the World Bank.
