- Scope and Content:
- Six panoramic or "yard long" photographs of the 172nd Field Artillery of the New Hampshire National Guard. In five of the photographs, the men are kneeling, seated or standing, facing the camera with the 172nd's flag appearing in the photograph. The men's faces are close enough to be seen clearly. The backgrounds vary and include rural scenes, buildings, and tents. The 1937 photograph shows the 172nd on parade with a military band in the left corner; the officer's back is to the viewer, and the men's faces are too far away to be seen.
