Volume containing seven pages of letters of the lyceum, possibly the Milford Lyceum, addressing an incident with "Sambo" and some writing he had submitted. The entries date from 1857 to 1858. The remainder of the volume is an account book, with a few poems written throughout. The accounts are primarily for S. W. Shattuck [Samuel W. Shattuck], with some entries for the Shattuck family of Brookline, NH. These family members include Joseph C., John P., and George F. Shattuck. The account book dates from 1860 to 1865, with one note dated 1868. Entries include cash, work, horses to Brookline, groceries, clothing, and supplies.
