One volume of accounts of Charles H. Elliott and George W. Blake, lumber dealers in Rumney, N.H. Elliott appears to have been the principal owner as the business is listed under his name only in the New Hampshire Business Directories. Partnership seems to have changed to Elliott & Simpson after 1875. They operated a sawmill and produced all sorts of products including ladder poles and shingles in addition to planks, boards, etc. Charles H. Elliott was born in Rumney, N.H., son of John Wheelock Elliott, and died there as well. He married Laura J. Moulton (1835-1913) and had three children.
