- Photographic print of Fred Johnson and Will Virgin standing next to their bicycles on Long Pond Road in Concord, NH, dated May 30, 1890. The caption states, "Long Pond Road May 30, 1890. Fred Johnson and Mr. Virgin. Will Virgin and Fred Johnson purchased a safety in 1890, known as a Columbia light roadster safety. It weighed 56 pounds, had solid tires, and cost $135. The pneumatic tire had its birth two or three years later."
