- Temperance certificate issued to Johnnie James for his signature on the Corner Stone Temperance Pledge of the New Hampshire State Temperance Union. The certificate includes a print of the United States Government Building in Concord, NH and contains the printed signatures of the President of the Union, D.H. Goodell, and the Secretary of the Union, James A. Marshall. The certificate was issued in Strafford, NH on September 21, 1885, the centennial year of temperance agitation.
