- Scope and Content:
- The Durham, NH, Meeting House Building Records consists of a booklet of meeting minutes from the building committee for a new meeting house and an oversized, early drawing showing the main floor and galleries of the new meeting house. The drawing was "taken from the original by Seth S. Walker." The meeting minutes begin December 28, 1791 noting a new meeting house was voted to be built within 150 feet of the old meeting house. The document continues with meetings regarding the building of the meeting house from January 1792 through September 1793. At the end of the document is an account listing those who have purchased pews, including the cost and pew number. A note on the back states this copy was examined by George Ffrost on March 15, 1814.
