- Letter from Frank W. Horne in Rome, Italy, to Agnes and Albert Johnson, dated February 10, 1920. In the letter, Horne notes he is replying immediately to their letter of January 18th, even though he is supposed to be working for Uncle Samuel. He goes on to discuss his living conditions, noting food is expensive and many people are ill in Rome. Horne states he was able to move into a hotel that was still being renovated from the war, but is glad to have done so as rooms are at a premium. He continues the letter by discussing the locals; a recent postal, telegraph, and railroad strike, which put the city under Martial law; and the weather.
