The document was signed by the Proprieters' Clerk, William Webster, as well as the Directors: Stephen Ambrose, Joseph Evans, John Eastman, Jr., and Robert Eastman. The company was raising funds to build a canal to bypass Sewall's Falls in Concord, NH.
