- Letter from Captain William K. Crossfield at Russellville, KY, to George Rowell dated October 11, 1863. Crossfield writes to let Rowell know that he forwarded the belongings of his late son, George H.P. Rowell, in one package and his son's money totally $14.35 in another package. Crossfield finishes the letter letting Rowell know that normally they sell the belongings and give the proceeds to the deceased's friends, but in this case, he thought the older Rowell would want them.
