The colored map shows the national forest in green, with parts of New Hampshire not in the national forest, yellow, and parts of Maine not in the national forest, red. A legend included for roadways, waterways, landmarks, and recrational areas. There is also a descriptions of facilities in the forest. The reverse of the map includes safety information, camping tips, history, and guidelines for behavior within the forest.
